Joel Dos joeldois28d502 — Nichts aufregendes, eher etwas für ruhige Stunde. Es geht um die letzten Stunden eines Restaurants, und dem Autor gelingt es diese genau und mit der angemessenen Melancholie zu beschreiben. Dadurch wird es allerdings nicht spannender. Wer sich aber darauf einlässt wird ein wunderbares und schönes Leseerlebnis haben, wer das nicht macht hat wahrscheinlich eine schöne Einschlafhilfe.

Linh Pham kukulilo — I read this first last August 2011. Looking back, I thought that this book was very interesting and amazing. After reading it the second time, I still think that it's interesting. But amazing? Not so much anymore. What compelled me to read this book (the first time) was the plot. Genetic engineering is interesting, especially if it's some kind of virus that kills people. That's super interesting. I wish the author provided more descriptions and explanations about their genetic problems. My opinion on this genetic problem is that it's so simple and it makes me wonder why their supposed to be smarter generation haven't figured it out yet. (view spoiler) The characters--Rhine, Gabriel, Linden, Cecily, Janna, and Vaughn--didn't look as appealing as they did the first time around. They appeared as annoying, weak, and wimpy. All of them except for Janna who to this day, remains my favorite out of the six major characters. Linden comes second to my character list. He remained true, straight-forward, sweet, thoughtful, and he respected Rhine's wishes throughout the book. My only complaint is that he is too clueless about what's happening in his own home and wives. Oh, and he's selfish, too. Speaking of selfish, Rhine is a very selfish character, too. (view spoiler) Not to mention, stupid. If she didn't answer the ad for the bone marrow transplant, she wouldn't have been taken. So, yes, 4 stars pretty much sums it up. I'm looking forward to reading Fever--and Gabriel better man up or else. Re-read last July 16, 2012.

Charlotte Semmama charlottes1556 — My friend, Scott, who is an excellent cook, recommended this book to me. I confess that I have not read it lately. Read it once or twice and LEARN to make really good food. For me, it was the advice on making soup that clinched it. I now make soup at least once a week and it's very good!

Edouard Favrot efavrot — I was very skeptical that I would like the Twilight Series but (at the the total risk of embarrasing myself) I have to be honest and admit that I loved it! It was the perfect summer read and I am totally in love with Edward...so what that he's a vampire!! Individually, I give each book 4 stars...the writing isn't anything spectacular or profound, but I fell in love with the characters and was very entertained. Overall, I give the series five stars...it was just fun. Currently, I have moved on to watching (and re-watching) the movies.

Melanie Simard _elanie_imard — Fast read ... but their "adventure" went on and on. I eventually started skimming the adventure pages since it was clear they would eventually get through their ordeal. On to book 2 of the series.
