I honestly can say I had a hard time reading this book. Once I was finished with it I could not stop thinking about it. When a book can do that too you....you know it has something poweful in it. A read for everyone!!!

I often wish there was a 1/2 in the star option, so this could be 3 1/2 stars. Enjoyable book. Pro-Richard III, but not rabidly so. For 5 star, pro-Ricardian, sheer Wars of the Roses rabid bliss, nothing ever beats Sharon Kay Penman's 'The Sunne in Splendour'. But this was unique in that it focused more on Richard & Anne Neville's childhood together at Middleham Castle - a very atmospheric ruin on the Yorkshire Moors even today.

The book was solace to me in high school. Having experienced the cruelty of hazing my freshman year by much larger boys, the savage nature and cruelty of youth was not shocking to me. I have used this as a teacher as well. My hope was that there might be a student that this book could speak to as it spoke to me. It is great for discussion... about cliques, about base nature vs. better nature...

I liked this as much as 1 and more than 2. I felt the story was easy to follow from the beginning and didn't jump around as much as 2 did. The ending was fun. I could stop here, but why when there's still book 4 to read!! Very readable author

A reread of a book I haven't read since high school. It was good and it was funny, but it didn't grab me as some other books by the authors. I adore Gaiman but haven't read Pratchett since high school either. Enjoyable but I didn't find it as memorable as I had hoped. I did love the two characters of the angel and the demon both working to avoid the end of the world.
