quite infuriating if i do say so myself. may serve very well as a means of releasing frustration by throwing it across the room.

I was excited to see Dodge take a bigger part of this book due to enjoying his part in Smash Cut. Dodge drops everything and races to Texas at the drop of a hat after receiving a phone call from an old flame, letting him know the daughter he hasn't seen since she was born was in trouble. On the trip Dodge contemplates meeting his daughter for the first time, along with the woman he never stopped loving. While helping with the investigation into the man now stalking his daughter Dodge does his best to keep both women at an arm's length and keep his secret. The story, told him flashbacks, tells the story of how Dodge and Caroline fell in and out of love. Dodge has a certain gruffness that is part of his charm. And while I don't like his choices in the past, I am happy to see he has a chance at happiness in the present.

A great book about this most genius mathematical mind of the last 100 years. Rebecca Goldstein actually provides a simplified version of the proof of the Incompleteness Theorem.

I have to say, as a person reading WAY outside her chosen genre, I enjoyed this book pretty well. This is one of the books I acquired when my husband and I merged our libraries, and I probably would not have gotten to reading it any time soon, had it not been for Go Review That Book! [...] I enjoyed the fast-paced writing style, as well, with the exception of how we seemed to be jumping in to the middle of the action towards the beginning. It took quite some time to really get a feel for these characters, and by the time I did, I felt like I had missed some plot points that I hadn't understood were important because I hadn't gotten to know the characters. It sort of felt as though I was reading something from the middle of a series, but as all the characters seemed to have their stories neatly tied up in this book, that must not be the case. The resolution of the tale was quite satisfying, although throughout the book, I didn't really see how it could come to a conclusion I'd be happy with. I'm impressed with Leonard's story.

Shaara did a marvelous job bringing Colonel Chamberlain and all of the other involved military leaders to life, but I would have liked to know what happened to a couple of the ordinary soldiers (especially the 20th regiment Maine men) involved in Gettysburg too. I discovered on the back of the book that The Killer Angels turned Ken Burns onto the Civil War. He didn't know anything about Gettysburg before reading this book. Isn't that amazing!

Chilling - you won't believe the extent to which we are selling our country's soul to corporate greed and to the Americans in particular!

Love David Sedaris. This is not his best work in my opinion. But even so, I liked it, and wait breathlessly for whatever he writes next!

This was a fun read and a mix between Jack and the Beanstalk and Robin Hood that made it a fun adventure!
