I really liked this book. It is a fictional take on Mary Magnaline (sp?) in the modern world. It was a quick read (even for me a mother of a VERY active 15 month old)... I finished it in 2 days. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian fiction books. Karen Kingsbury wrote yet another great book... I am rarely dissapointed in her books. :)

man character-Luce-Sword&Cross school.. Callie-luce's bff at her old school. Gabbe-random chick that introduces herself(student) at new school.then theres another boy named Todd..and one more mysterious boy that she hasnt known his name yet.attendant showed luce her room #- 63.luce was sent to the school because of the death of a guy named Trevor-her crush- and people think she killed him.Arriane-another random chick at new school that jokes around. dress rules:style must be modest and color must be black.Then Cam-guy with green eyes came in..him and Arriane know each other.Randy-the attendants name. luce been seeing shadows when her and trevor were together, and she still sees them everywhere she goes, and her parents took her to eye doctors to help her but she still sees them.Arriane introduced places to her and said that Coach Diante is ee-vil-gym teacher-.then she saw Daniel Grigori..a guy that she couldnt take her eyes off of for a few seconds...and Roland is his friend that arriane pointed out.When Daniel saw her, he was shocked and flipped her off.now she is in her class(mr.cole-1st to 3rd period) and she found out rolands full name-Roland Sparks.Then at lunch luce bumped into Molly-mean chick.And Randy came in and broke up the fight between arriane and molly and luce and made detention for three of them. and then later on luce went to clean up and meant Pennyweather Van Syckle-Lockwood-Penn(nice chick that helped her clean up).Luce's full name-Lucinda Price.And penn is a office-aid, her dad is the groundskeeper for the school-and that her dad dies 2 years ago.And so she went to her classes later on and went to her room- the whole school started calling her Meat Loaf because of the meat that molly left on her hair-the fight,then later on roland told her to go to the east of the library and thats where she meant one of her tuesday/thursday teachers-Sophia Bliss(also libraian-i think).and then so she went to the east of the library and daniel was there, and she started to see shadows, and daniel saw her and left, but when walking they brushed each other and felt a shock...later on cam told her to go to the party and she went and later on heard gabbe and daniel talking to each other saying like your the only one ive got...then next day luce had to go to the gym and meant Coach Diante...and she had to be with penn and gabbe for pool.and so she swim and she talked to daniel saying that she swear she recognizes him before.later on she finds more nfo about daniel like he was a orphange. and some more romance with cam-he almost kissed her and gave her a neckalace one day. and then todd dies from smoke-at least people say that, and the last time luce saw penn was when she went off to talk to ms.Sophia..now luce is in the hospital and finds out that todd died- luce was there too but she couldnt see him because something knocked her out/fire started from library.and so later on she went back to the school, and cam and her were hugging and talking and later on daniel took luce back to the lake where they went last time, and daniel was almost kissing her when she closed his eyes and he was gone the second she opened them. and so its parents day and her parents brought all luce's fav. food to eat with her and penn.and later on arriane ntroduced them to her sister Annabelle-hot pink hair.later on Mr.cole showed them around when cam showed up with his dad, and randomly said that luces mom was luces sister-which made the mom dazzaled-but the dad uncomfortable.and so later on penn and luce went to the library to reasearch some things about "Watchers"- and cam came in at the same time daniel did, and they(D&C) end up getting in a fight because daniel saw cam touching luce and pecking her. and so later on the fight is broken up by mr.cole and the next day a car picks luce up to go see cam. and ends up with daniel taking her away from cam later on and running off with her to the beach-where they kiss,,,,,,,,,,the next day luce goes to the cemetery to tell cam to be just friends, and cam ends up kissing her(she let him so he can let her go back to daniel at the lake) and molly and daniel come just in time to break cam and luce up, and molly ends up beating the crap out of cam..daniel takes her away from the fight and starts to explain things.and he explains how he is damed on earth and that he knew her from long ago, and so later on she left and found the book that she and penn were looking for-reasearch on daniel- and so when luce opened the book, she saw a bunch of pictures of her old lifes and daniel..and she relized he wasnt liein at all. later on she went to ms.Sophia and she blabbled about how she kissed daniel and so later on she found out that Sophia knows things more than luce does about herself and daniel. so when penn,luce,and ms.sophia runs out to the cemetary, luce sees that a battle is going to occur, and so she finds daniel standing on the cliff, and daniel sees her and they start talking and she found out that the shadows are called Announcers.and they summoned the trees for battle..and so then luce admits that she loves daniel and cam comes out and claps, and luce relizes that cam is darkness-bad person..and so then arriane and gabbe come out, and they are ready to battle, and shoves luce to follow ms.sophia to hide somewhere safe.so later on shphia ends up killing penn because she says that penn is in their way.and so later on ms.sophia was about to kill luce when daniel came in and saves her, leaving ms.sophia time to escape with one of daniels helpers chasing after her. and so now luce found out that Roland,molly,cam, and ms.sophia are bad angels.... and daniel,gabbe, and arriane are good.and so later on gabbe and arriane went to ask someone that they trust to take luce somewhere safe,while daniel and her spend their last few moments together... and so now daniel said he loves her and he would come for her as soon as he can, and then gabbe and arriane gave luce the book(daniels book) and hot coco and said their goodbyes, and next thing everyone knew, luce took off on a airplane with mr.cole, heading off for a island to stay at...while luce touches her lock from around her neck-the one daniel gave her- and thought about many new secrets she can unlock with it. EPILOGUE : daniels been watching luce sleep day and night, and yet daniel cant tell her hes there with her, even though he wanted to so much to lay with her in his arms..at night luce would moan because of a dream and call out daniels name once n a while. and cam came in and said he loves the way she looks when she sleeps and that he still wants her and that the battle isnt over yet and also that luce knew really little to pick who she wants to be with.

Pretty awesome followup to The Name of the Wind. Although I'm still at the "what's the point" point of the story. Each book is one day where the innkeeper recounts his past life. Although his life is fascinating, by the time I finished this book I was more than ready to see what's going to happen in the present storyline. The present storyline moves at a snail's pace compared to the past storyline. I would not recommend this book, even though it's awesome. The story picked up at the end, but it was still rather inconclusive considering we're going to have to wait another 4 years or so for Mr. Rothfuss to finish the next one. I would say, wait until he's done writing all of them. Otherwise you're just going to feel gypped at the end. Hah, yes, no gaff to the Edema Ruh intended.
