Lover Reborn was great! When I first found out that it wasn't Quinn and Blay's story, I was really disappointed, but there was really no need. Tohr's story is great! I wasn't sure where Ward was going to go with his story since he was still bonded to his Wellsie. It was really hard to see him interested in anyone when he was still grieving. NoOne turned out to be a fascinating character. We knew almost nothing about her personality from the last book or why she ended up in the fade. It was a great read! I can't wait for the next book. I think the end of Lover Reborn clearly shows Ward's intentions of making the next book Quinn and Blay's story or interlacing their story into the next one. I can't wait!

I looked and looked for a good book to help teach my first graders about Eleanor Roosevelt. Had they been a little older, this book would have been amazing. Beautiful pictures, excellent, heart felt and detailed look at the life and good works of Eleanor Roosevelt. However, I found it to be too text-heavy for my class, as well as introducing an enormous number of difficult topics (child labor, antisemitism, the Great Depression, women's right to vote, and on and on and on) that it seemed too much to tackle all in one lesson. Any of those topics could be a worthy discussion on its own, but they are too much all together for the age group. Instead I opted to read them only the first few pages about her girlhood and looked to other sources for the remainder of the lesson. However, the book on its own merits gets high marks from me.

Really enjoyed this book. Don't think I've ever read a Crichton book that I didn't enjoy. What made this book particularly interesting is that it takes on the topic of global warming / climate change in a thought-provoking way. If you feel strongly about that topic, no matter which side you fall on, this might open your eyes to the facts.

There were moments I really liked in this book slid between a lot of ho hum stuff. I didn't dislike it, but I never really made a connection with the main characters.

I enjoyed this audio book very much - having the book read to me made it very easy to understand the language, and I enjoyed the extra little parts which had not been included in the various mini series and movies of this book which I've seen.
