Adreon Patterson adreonp — I absolutely love this book. My daughter brought it home from a scholastic book fair. Wittilda has a heart of gold and wants to help everyone including the 47 stray cats that she has taken into her home to live. Running low on rats for their food she has to go find a job. This is such a fun book with super illustrations. There's loads of humour, bright colors, and clever little details to search for, hidden among the hubbub on each page. I promise you Wittilda will make your laugh and win your heart.

Reshad Brown reshad_brown — I hated this book for the same reason I hated Fight Club. The author seems to be judgmental about other people's lifestyles if they don't comply with his own. All his techniques and tricks to a low-cost living work fine with him because he has loads and loads of time to spare in his hands, which is partially the reason why he claims he does not make much money. I am not bashing those who don't fancy extravaganza and prefer modesty in life, but I don't see why then materialism has to take the blame for every sin under the sun. I was expecting suggestions and experience that work more generally for everybody like switching off the light when you exit the room, using water more wisely, or shopping at Aldi more than Marks & Spencer etc, not making your own butter, or renting your own allotment, which really takes up a great deal of spare time and effort to do in reality if I'm honest. Overall the book is not very helpful to one who doesn't intend to lead a life of a hermit.
