LOVED THIS BOOK! OK, so if you haven't read this book because you've thought "I already saw the movie" then stop cheating yourself out of a fantastically good read and GO GET IT NOW!!!! This book is so funny and witty and just good fun! I was not particularly crazy about the add on "Buttercup's Baby" at the end of the 30th anniversary edition. Had I finished the book at it's original ending when I was still smiling from ear to ear I probably would have given it 5 stars.

I was really hesitiant to pick this book after having a horrible time getting into Seduce me in Dreams, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was a fun, quick read.

I liked this book, it was a nice read. I really liked that the author took the time to give us intricate samples of each of these women's lives and let us learn to like them, feel for them, and get to know them all at the same time. I enjoyed watching them grow as characters and overall it was just a sweet and sometimes very sad book. I don't know if I will ever be fortunate enough to ever have a group of girl friends like this.

Not what I expected at all- not horror, but historical (some fantasy) fiction- who knew? I liked it, but granted I listened to it, so was not llooking at creepy pictures- although that in itself, took away from the story as it was written based on the photos.

I read this before watching the movie. As much as I love it, I give it 4 stars because some plot points are confusing, especially near the end. I was a little disappointed at first when some things in this book aren't included in the movie (like about Howl opening a door into modern times Wales!), but then I realise that movies and books are two different creatures. The movie was still a great adaptation as well as being a great movie in it's own right.

I read this book for the first time four years ago, and thought it was decent enough, but nothing special. Strange how re-reading it now totally changed my opinion on this book. I've read more of Gaiman's books by now, and have really come to appreciate his writing style. During this second reading of Stardust I picked up on some of the nuances I didn't notice last time.
