Their quest to bring him to justice, when a lot of the world wanted to forget about the Holocaust, is the subject of this great new book by Neal Bascomb. I had read Isser Harel's dry, by-the-numbers account The House on Garibaldi Street years ago but this book is full of background, political intrigue, and suspense, and highly recommended for people who enjoy popular history.

Arki Up arkiup — Not sure whether or not I liked this book...the ending is disappointing and you are not sure who killed Alice Pepin or if anyone actually did? I also found it a bit unbelievable that a hitman dies by eating a novel and Sam Shephard is now a police detective in homicide. It just is a leap of faith to take this all in and I guess I couldn't take the jump. I do think that the beginning holds well and it the inner conversations one has about a spouse are interesting and realistic but from there it just spirals into wackiness and disconnects for me. I also didn't like any of the characters. All this being said I did read this in a day and a half trying to figure out what happened to David Pepin and Alice; never did in any satisfactory way.

Sebastian Lara sebastianlara — I listened to this one on Audible after seeing a good review, but had no preconceived ideas. I was totally engrossed in this high school girl's story and hey, is that guy a vampire? After I recommended it to my 14 year-old daughter, I found out that all her friends were loving it too.

Thomas Jones tmjones28a9 — Great book. Loved the historical fiction WWII story. Got bored in the middle but LOVED the ending. Great read.
