Blue Moon is the second instalment of The Immortals book series, written by Alyson Noel. For those who are new to this series, I strongly recommend that you start by reading the first instalment, Evermore, before reading this one. I believe this to essential in order to fully understand and appreciate the complexity of the history that goes into making the plot lines and characters so enticing to read. After completing Evermore, I was eager to learn more about the relationship between Ever and Damen. What would happen next for this couple who have already been through so much? Well, the answer was one that I definitely didn't see coming. In my opinion, Alyson Noel had a great task on her hands to up her game following the enticing introduction Evermore. In Blue Moon, Noel successfully created a plot which not only fufilled on an entertainment level, but her amazing skill of writing shone through. The plot had a lot of twists and turns which enthralled me throughout. It wasn't predictable and all fitted together into a perfect ending which had me eager to read more. The characters Noel has created compliment the plot well. I like Ever even more as a protagonist and I particularly liked that in this book the focus was more on her and her feelings. I believe this worked so well as a lot of the secondary characters weren't developed in this instalment, however I don't see this as a bad thing. Due to the circumstances of the plot, any development wasn't be necessary. Damen undergoes huge, life-threatening changes in this novel which made me miss the character I fell in love with in Evermore. However, readers are still treated to an insight to his past and how he came to be how he is. Overall, Blue Moon was fufilled the expectations I have for this series after reading Evermore. The plot is complex yet so easy and enjoyable to read. I'm captivated to know how Ever and Damen overcome there next obstacle. Noel has created a unique world in the popular fantasy genre. I would recommend to those who are a fan of this genre and are looking for something new and fresh. I can't wait to pick up the third isntalment, Shadowland.

I read this book, and it took me away. I will save the 5-star rating for truly amazing books, but this book was surreal. The first thing that impressed me was that the author: Christopher Paolini began writing this book when he was in his mid teens! It can be overly descriptive at times, but this story is incredible. One of the best books I've read.

Ridiculous. I was drawn in by the Library of Congress connection, but not even that could salvage it for me. I've read one other book of his and I can honestly say I think I'm done. Melodramatic; over-stereotyped characters; relationships between characters feel like they were written by Aaron Spelling. Ugh. On second thought, if this was meant to be a parody of the thriller genre, then kudos.

this book is about a man and a woman in the Victorian ages in Europe. the wife, nora has a problem on her hands with money that she has to pay back to a person that helped her pay for her husbands life. the husband, torvald was sick and he needed medical help but they couldnt afford it. the story goes on about how nora gains the money and the relationship between her and her husband.
