Such a great read. The story was long enough to actually have some great character development. I really enjoyed watching this relationship flourish. The writing was well done and I was just totally enthralled by this story

Girls Just Wanna Have Gunsis like a "chicken soup" read for me--as is CHARMED AND DANGEROUS, the first book in this trilogy. When I need a good laugh and the chance to commiserate with someone who is having a day worse than mine, Bobbie Faye is my go-to character and Toni McGee Causey is my go-to writer. Between Trevor and Cam and their love for the hot mess that is Bobbie Faye (not to mention all that testosterone rivalry) and the predicaments in which Bobbie finds herself, these books are satisfying, entertaining, and down right fun. I can't believe I never read the third book, WHEN A MAN LOVES A WEAPON. That's soon to be rectified, as soon as it arrives in my mailbox!

It's a very insightful book about men. The author did a study/survey of hundreds of Christian and non-Christian men and the results were surprising. The information is useful for those who want to better understand the men in their life. One bit of advice shared in the book: As women we are to be cheerleaders for the men in our lives.

I really enjoyed the Biblical tale retold from a woman's perspective. I came to care about the characters and miraculously knew all their names by the end. The book dragged on a bit toward the end but overall it was a good read.

The Dupayne Museum is situated right outside London and houses a collection of artifacts about the years in between WWI and WWII. It also contains The Murder Room, filled with evidence of the most famous murders of the era. The Dupayne children, all in their 40's-50's, have never loved each other or the father who founded the museum. When the lease on the property comes due, Neville announces that he has no intention of signing to keep the museum open and that he would rather see it close and be done with it. Guess who's the first to die? This is my first of James' books and the twelfth in the Adam Dalgliesh series. I wanted to read some of her work after seeing a Youtube video of her making a fool of a BBC executive in an interview, and I started with this book because I saw the movie starring wonderful Martin Shaw as A.D. I will continue with the series. It's well-written, has plenty of twists, multiple murders (value for money!) and I like the characters. 4.5 stars

The Goddess Interrupted was a great sequel, filled with just the right amount of romance, action and drama. Kate returns to the Underworld after spending 6 months in Greece with James. While she was gone, everything has changed. The Gods are in danger and on the brink of war. However things get worse when Henry and the others get kidnapped and it's up to Kate, Ava and James along with Persephone to save them. I like how Aimee's is developing Kate's character. She is a strong and independent woman who fights for what she believes in. However there were times when i felt like shaking some sense into her (when she kept on doubting Henry's feelings for her) But other than that, she goes through hell trying to save her new family. I like how Persephone was introduced in this part. Throughout the first book, you read about her and how horrible she was to Henry, you can't help but hate her. But in this part we got to learn about why she did what she did. Also, it was interesting learning more about the Gods, i really like how Aimee modernized the classic myths. All in all it was a great book. I really enjoyed it and CANNOT wait for the next part. There was a humongous cliffhanger in the end and i really want to find out what happens next *Starts biting nonexistent fingernails*
