The only reason why I took the time to read through it was because it was given to me as part of the prize package for the WoW comic contest, and I figured it would be rude of me not to give it the time of day. How wrong I was. The book couldn't be more generically-drawn, and the plot and characters only bear the slightest, most passing resemblance to anything in the greater Warcraft universe. One of the great things about WoW as a game is the fact that it's so very tongue-in-cheek and stylized, and so it shouldn't come as any surprise that it translates poorly into agonizingly serious manga. -C

When I need a good laugh and the chance to commiserate with someone who is having a day worse than mine, Bobbie Faye is my go-to character and Toni McGee Causey is my go-to writer. Between Trevor and Cam and their love for the hot mess that is Bobbie Faye (not to mention all that testosterone rivalry) and the predicaments in which Bobbie finds herself, these books are satisfying, entertaining, and down right fun. I can't believe I never read the third book, WHEN A MAN LOVES A WEAPON. That's soon to be rectified, as soon as it arrives in my mailbox!
