It's been a while since I read this book but I felt that I needed to review it. I loved this book, I couldn't stop reading. I found myself flicking forward to see when Patch appeared *sighs*. The only reason why this wasn't a 5 star book was because Nora began to annoy me, I wanted to slap her seriously! Everytime Patch tried to talk to her after the little 'omg he didn't say he loved me back' (after making out in his car infront of her house..hmm) incident, Nora pushed him away. If Nora loved Patch so much why would she do this? Sometimes I had to just put the book down due to stuff like her jealousy of Marcie Miller who began to spend more time with Patch,I mean come on woman get it together! Anyway, rant over about Nora, this really is a good book besides her insecurity over their relationship. Highly recommended!

First i have to say - I adore the cover of this book! The coverart is just amazing. Wow. The book was pretty amazing too. I really enjoyed reading it! Mostly because I liked the charakters. I love Clarity, and Periwinkle (not only because of their super-awesome, super-cute names), they were great charakters. I've always wanted a big brother, and I thoght Perry was so cool and sweet! Despite his flaws. Haha! Also i liked all the other charakters. The plot was good too. I guess I could say it's like a mysterie novel with a supernatural twist to it. I'm usually not the biggest fan of mysterie-novels but I think "Clarity" may have changed my mind - it was fun to read a YA mysterie-novel! Possibly because Clary and her familys abillities (personally i belive in mediums, and psychics to a certain degree) made it a lot more interessting! So, yeah, I liked this book a lot. It wasn't genious though. I would have loved for the mysterious parts to be a little bit more complicated, and the ending to be a bit more surprising. When there's a mysterie you want it to be really surprising, and a lot of action and twist and turnes. Right? There were enough going on to keep it iteresting all the time, but I think it could have been even better. But I'm not complaining, it did come together nicely, and I would definitly definitly like to read more about Clarity (she's awesome!). A great debut-novel from Kim harrington, thats for sure! Overall a great read! It could have been better, but I definitly recommend it to everybody who enjoy YA books. Mysterious, great charakters, and a fun love-triangle. Fans of "The body finder" have to pick this one up! I actually liked it a bit more than "the body finder". So, yeah - READ IT :)

I think anyone who has seen the movie may have wished they read the book first. (But isn't that always how it is?) I found this book highly entertaining and addictive. Lauren Weisberger paints a picture of a world that I desperately would love to experience first hand. Admittedly, the characters other than Andrea Sachs are not tremendously developed (neither is Andrea, to be honest). The book is more of a novelty; it explores the inner-workings of an up-tight magazine in all the horrors you would expect. The people are pretty, vain, and ruthless. I would have preferred something more Ugly Betty-style, where the people seem cold-hearted but actually have character depth. But, I did take this to be a pretty accurate depiction of the magazine this book referenced to, and for that I give Weisberger props. I'd say it was a smash hit had I not read other things by her and realized she's always a whiney bitch.

This is easily one of my favorite novels of the books I've read in the past 5 years. It's lauded as Stegner's masterpiece and I completely agree. Stegner tells the story of a man who has a disease that is crippling him. He's living in his ancestral home, being taken care of by an old, old, family friend. He's a historian and feels compelled to research his paternal grandmother using the journals and keepsakes that are at the house. Stegner weaves the life story of the grandmother (and grandfather) and the story of the historian together. As the protagonist is making realizations and grudgingly realizing the two may be compared--the reader is also--and making his/her revelations about the story. What unfolds is a breathtaking piece about marital/familial relationships. A novel that will suck you in, you'll almost smell the rooms, imagine the places that the novel took place in.

I had the joy of winning this book here on Good Reads during a contest. The novel is quite engaging. From the highly detailed characters to the world in which they live in this novel met up to my expectations and more. The author did a splendid job in creating an anti-hero into a highly likable hero for the book. The highly descriptive profession of thieves was another enjoyable and believable aspect of the book. I highly recommend trying this novel out for yourself.
