Here is a book that covers (in real detail) a number of subjects. There is the Morman part. The writing forgery bit, which is excellent. Of course the Emily Dickinson history. I found this by chance (I collect Dickinson books) and was totally suprised by the great writing and full research the author did. And then amazing to find out that it is a true story.

This is supposed to be a story of riding a bike from the Pacific to the Atlantic, but it turns out to be pages and pages of ego massaging vanity. Initially I was excited about this book because it was a bike journey with a back story. Instead of just learning about how far the author rode and what he ate, we find our way into his thoughts. Sadly, Brian's thoughts are not very enlightening. He struggles to impress his father, understand his past and present relationships, and come to terms with religion. He is so caught up in his reflections that he doesn't see anything else around him. The joys and adventures of his trip are lost. He concentrates on the finish line so much that he doesn't explore or experience any of the in-between. Brian expects to find enlightenment on his journey, but his mind spirals around the same ideas indefinitely. The book tediously goes on for 50 pages after he gets to the Atlantic. In other words, Boy needs to get over himself, talk to his dad, and dump that frigid bitch he calls a girlfriend. Like someone would really say he has nice legs? Look at his picture. Author's need to quit putting their damn pictures at the end of books, I don't need to see their sorry, ugly asses. I would not recommend this book to a friend.

So far, it has some good quotes in it, but im not too impressed. Plus, Richard Dawkins, as if it werent pretentious enough to write this book, is the NARRATOR for his own book on tape...after i realized that, i cant say im reading this book without bias.

This was a murder mystery set in Vermont. It took a little longer than I would have liked to get into it. But, once I really got into it, it was a definite page turner. Although it was semi-figure outable I still liked it. It didn't evoke tons of "Vermontness" for me.

Description of Main Characters: The protagonist is Ty and he has brown hair and shimmery skin. He is brave and hard-working. The antagonist is Ratter and he is fat and ugly. He has a rude personality. I liked this book because it had a lot of action and adventure. It has a lot about conquering your fears. Gemmma is afraid of the ocean because she sees ghosts. She conquers that fear at the end of the book to help save the sinking submarine Ty's parents are in. Quote: "Fear is easy to take away." Theme: Never give up. I reccomend this book to anyone who likes a good adventure. It is faced paced and draws you in. Also I reccomend it to those who like to learn about the ocean.
