Zan Tan zantan — So far, it has some good quotes in it, but im not too impressed. Plus, Richard Dawkins, as if it werent pretentious enough to write this book, is the NARRATOR for his own book on tape...after i realized that, i cant say im reading this book without bias.

Sandra Kolchina _olchina — As a description of Southern society this book is wonderful insofar as it fulfils a high cliche count. In fairness to Margaret Mitchell, who was an Atlantan (Georgia, not the non-exitant island)with family members who had been involved in the Civil War, I have to assume that her recollection is accurate. However, particularly since the film, if you talk of Southern Belles and Beaus your first recall is of Scarlett O'Hara and Ashley Wilkes (how strange that they were played by British actors in the film). The portrayal of her development from a shallow, spoiled individual to one whose own endeavours brings her happiness is almost secondary to the description of the impact that the Civil War brought to Georgia, symbolised by the burning of Atlanta. Historical fiction is a strange beast. If the events portrayed have a meaning to the reader it is more likely to be well received. I suspect that my pitiful lack of knowledge impaired my enjoyment of this book when I read it, all those years ago.

Laura Bargunyó _ora_aar — I've read this book before, but I didn't remember that until I started reading it again. I don't think I've read the whole series though. As I plan on continuing I guess I'll find out. This is a story about Flint of outworld. He Is a caveman of high intelligence, with an eidetic memory, and most importantly a kirilian aura of 200. A kirilian aura is often compared to a soul in the book and that is the easiest way to describe it. He is recruited by the government of Sol to stop the andromedan menace by giving other clusters of planets the ability to transfer ther Kirilian Aura into Host bodies. It's an interesting book, very Conan the barbarian in a way. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
