Good suspense from this author, definitely a page-turner.

I think I'm "over" Klosterman. Sex Drugs & Cocoa Puffs was hilarious, but this collection is really self-indulgent. Some of the interviews are good, but in the end Klosterman's writing really isn't all that interesting or revelatory -- just "clever" and catchy. I couldn't bring myself to read the fiction piece at the end.

It was the only Julian F. Thompson they had at the library. I have been hoping to run into a copy of "The Grounding of Group 6" for years as I remember it tripping me out in junior high. "Hard Time" is just plain weird.

This book takes a while to get into, but it's worth it. I found myself intreged by the characters and the situations they were in.

Thoroughly engaging story. The romance was honest and true. The way the author combined lovey-dovey romance with lust, sex, and guilt was refreshing. The protagonist was strong and sympathetic. The supporting characters, from the fat lady to the elephant, gave incredible depth to the story. The trials and tribulations of a train circus was absoluting fascinating.

Got a bit bogged down by life so this took a while to read - it is quite a tome. It's three novels in one telling the stories of three characters that exist in and around a pub called The Midnight Bell in 1930s Central London - one's a waiter, one's a prostitute and t'other is a bar maid. It's pretty harsh stuff and is like watching your friend fall in love with an idiot, but its so well observed and inside the bits of us that we try and hide that it just blew me away. In fairness, Hamilton is a better playwright than novelist - a lot of it is described in minute detail - but he knows how to pace his prose so just when you start to wander, everything accelerates beyond recognition. Also, if you know London at all and like a drink, the recognition element is a huge part of the enjoyment. Anyway, probably the best thing I've read since Underworld. Man's a genius

I enjoyed reading Steve Biko's writings, but found myself at times being easily distracted.

I think this play is really inspirational, but I'd understand if you disagree with me.
