Vasilisa Ra vasilisara — It was the only Julian F. Thompson they had at the library. I have been hoping to run into a copy of "The Grounding of Group 6" for years as I remember it tripping me out in junior high. "Hard Time" is just plain weird.

Sophie Liu _ophie_ — This book made it possible to dream that you could actually get away with running away from home and living in a museum. These kids were smart too-- taking the money from the fountain to pay for doing laundry?! Ingenious!

Matheus Cardozo _atheus_ardozo — I wanted to like this a whole lot more that I did. I ended up just getting annoyed with the kids. What I really wanted, I guess, was From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg, only set in the Thorne Rooms of the Art Institute of Chicago (one of my Favorite Places on Earth.)

Juan Manuel juanmacruz — Whatever the author had to offer from the book was lost on me. Fighting to stay awake through the dry, boring prose was an uphill and, ultimately, losing battle.

Shahad Badr _hahad_rt — I was first introduced through a another book, "King Dork." I expected a lot of the same. And I got it. What "Catcher" is is really a bunch of observations about the world as seen through the eyes of a teenager. And to be honest, I got pretty sick of it. The main character, Holden Caulfield, is 16, and just got expelled from his prep school. It isn't the first time he's been expelled either. The story tells about just a few days in his life as he walks throughout New York. There's really no plot, as I've mentioned earlier, this is really a bunch of observations from an angst-ridden teenager. Here's one of my favorites: "I went down to a different staircase, and I saw another "Fuck you" on the wall... If you had a million years to do it in, you couldn't rub out even half the "Fuck you" signs in the world. It's impossible." p. 202 Most of his observations are very angst-ridden. I wanted someone to knock some sense into Holden: his angst is almost overbearing. It's kind of annoying really. I liked "King Dork" better than this, because while that too was angst-ridden, it at least made me laugh.
