Didion is best known for her nonfiction, but I proselytize for her novels every chance I get.

I disliked this book, but then at the same time, I think it was kind of incredible. There were a few moments where it was beautifully poetic and tragic. Other moments where it was completely absurd in an entertaining way. But mostly it was kind of annoying.

This was an amazing book! I went through phases while I was reading it. At first, I had this urge to eat Italian food, then I wanted to do yoga, and then I wanted to visit Bali with my boyfriend. Interesting. :-) She did get a bit annoying at some point with her neurotic complaints. But I liked that story in the book.
