Jessica Ngo sicango — This book had a bit of a slow start, but even from the beginning the mystery of this story is set. If you think this is a spin off of The Secret Garden you are wrong. The only similarities with "The Secret Garden" are a few of the character names that both books share, and orphan going to live in a large house with a crippled uncle (kind of a creepy crippled uncle if you ask me), and a beautiful garden, but that's about it. The story is told from 3 women from different time periods. There's Eliza in the early 1900's, then Nell in the 1970's, then Cassandra in 2005. The whole story is one big mystery which is what is so exciting about it. Throughout the story I thought I had solved the mystery a few times. I was right in somethings ( the big one), but wrong on the stuff in between getting to the resolution. About half way through it really picks up, and I literally could not put it down. I loved the fairy tales in between, they do tell a story and are part of solving the mystery of Nell's forgotten past. Don't skip over those. Loved Eliza's character though her life is a little sad and tragic. Very good haunting, and mysterious read.

Antonia Enos antoniaenos — I disliked this book, but then at the same time, I think it was kind of incredible. There were a few moments where it was beautifully poetic and tragic. Other moments where it was completely absurd in an entertaining way. But mostly it was kind of annoying.
