Loved reading it, but the ending disappointed me.

Quarky old man's view on death is sometimes bittersweet, sometimes hysterical

I've read over other reviews of this book and I must agree that the strange unexplained character names were a bit off-putting at first (NoNo, Patch, Bitsy, Jeep, MinFoo, etc.), but were easy enough to get used to. However, unlike some who found the narrow focus on Rebecca to the exclusion of other story threads unfillfilling, I enjoyed getting inside Beck's head. She is a wondeful character, strong but uncertain, loving but needy. I liked her exploration of self, her questioning the paths she took in life, and finding resolutions that she could live with. I found the book ultimately satisfying.

This book is amazing; it's written wonderfully, and it's about math, but great math knowledge is by no means required to understand and enjoy the novel. It's simply great fun and makes one think about what we take for granted in regards to our perception, and the great enormity of possibilities that we are simply unable to comprehend because of our total lack of experience with them. Flatland is a quick, fun read, that leaves the reader trying to figure out how higher dimensions actually work, with (at least in my case), rather limited success.

extraordinarily easy & clear cookbook of world recipes. The essays at the beginning on the haves & have nots are really worth reading. And an Indian man asked in awe where I learned to cook when I made a dal from this cookbook. everyone should own it.

This book was another one that I couldn't put down. I was intrigued from the very start, and the depth of the story made me feel as if I had lived through the lives of each of these characters.

I gave this short story 4 stars. This short story is actually a suicide letter written by a 15 yr old. I think every parent of a teenager (or even pre-teen) should read this. To me, this teen is giving you insight as to why she's chosen to commit suicide. I also feel as a parent, she's giving you signs to watch for in your own child. Parents, LISTEN to your children! Be aware of any change in sleep habits, school work, etc. To teens & adults alike: Like the short story mentions, " The darkest hour is always before dawn". When dawn breaks, everything can look so different.

Not as fun as the first, seems a little more contrived, especially the linking of the main characters, and the ending, while it could have had a good twist was a little drawn out and predictable.

roman kavramını geçtikten sonra gerçekten çok hızlı bir şekilde sıkıldı.
