This series has the potential to be fairly interesting, but this book was pretty light, and the characters were pretty one dimensional. I hope Mr. Sullivan continues to write the series and wish him well.

Beautifully written, but too short to be told from six different points of view. I often had to read a few pages before I figured out which character was talking. Each character had a unique and interesting story to tell, but it just felt incomplete to me. I do not think it is Toni Morrison's best work.

To me the appeal of this book was not so much in the accounts and details presented, but the fact that it makes you think deeply of what it means to be a human being in the scheme of things of the whole universe, of time. There are things we fight over that, when the truth would be revealed, would seem insignificant, bordering on giving us absolute shame. Anyone who has questions on who we are, what our existence means and why we are the way and where we are, please read this one. It will open up a whole new world of reading for you, away from romance and thrillers and fiction, leading you right into the world of the sublime, the ethereal and the endless.
