Pretty pissed when it ended, as I LOVE Ayn Rand, and I'm used to very long novels from her (The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged). Painted a pretty disturbing view

Interesting. I initially found the snarky teenager voice irritating, but I found the story and situation interesting enough that I was able to accept her voice as honest for the character and situation.

Never thought of myself as the Nora Roberts type, but I'm really liking this series. It's a little romance mixed with a little fear and horror and that makes me happy. Can't wait to read the next two books in this trilogy.

I liked it but it was too over the top in my opinion. I think it is a good social commentary but then again, I'm sick of everyone thinking they are so enlightened and acting like they need to preach their word to everyone. This book doesn't go that far, but it is another person trying to express values and going to the extreme to make themselves seem right. If you can enjoy it as a story, go for it but don't get too caught up in th political content.

Great memoir that tells the story of Japanese internment through the eyes of a girl who was 7 when she arrived there. Great for history buffs and even more so for history teachers. The author describes her experiences at the camp in vivid detail and - even more powerfully - explains the impact of those experiences on her after she left the camp. Teachers of adolescents can do amazing things with passages from the book that relate to identity and self-image. Good, quick read that can be read on many different levels!

(SPOILER) The title of this book is Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. The author of the novel is Judy Blume. The idea of this book was to show how some kids adapt to new environment. In this case a girl named Margaret moved from New York to New Jersey and made new friends. She fit in with the P.T.S’s, which was a group, right away. She later found out that her best friend (Nancy) was a liar. Nancy who is Margaret’s best friend has long brown bouncy; she has a brother named Evan. Nancy is a little taller than Margaret and lives six houses away from her; she is the second person to get her period. Nancy also appears to be a liar in this story and her nickname in the group P.T.S’s is Alexandra. Janie Loomis is the last one to get her period out of her friends. She is also one of the shortest of the four. Her nickname in P.T.S’s is Kimberly. Gretchen Potter id the tallest one of the four, and her name is Veronica. Veronica was the first one to get her period. Margaret Simon is the third one to get her period; her nickname was Mavis. Mavis was the second shortest of the four. Margaret’s birthday is March 8th and she just turned twelve. All four P.T.S’s are in the sixth grade and are all in room eighteen, Mr. Benedict’s class. Silvia Simon, Margaret’s Dad’s mom, a sixty year old Jewish women and lives in New York. Margaret’s dad’s name is herb Simon and he is Jewish as well. Margaret’s mom’s name is Barbara and she is Catholic. The setting of this book was in multiple places. Fist was in New York at an apartment at west 67th street near Lincoln Center. The Simon family then moved to New Jersey on Morning Bird Lane from the point on that was the setting. Parts of the book also took place in other locations in Jersey like at Margaret’s school, home and Nancy’s house. The timing of this book is through September to April. The timing was in past tense. One important event I when Margaret, her Mom and Dad move from New York to New Jersey. The Simon’s moving caused Margaret to meet Nancy, Gretchen, and Janie. They the became the four P.T.S’s, being in that group caused Margaret to become more of girly first she brought a bra and then she turned boy crazy. Another event was when Margaret is trying to find out what kind of religion she was. That event leads her to realize she doesn’t need to be any religion. Talking to god is where she feels most comfortable. She found out she didn’t need to be Jewish or Catholic. Just talking to God mad her feel like she is part of a religion. I thought this book was really good except for the end. I thought it could have ended better then Margaret talking to God and thanking him for getting her period I would recommend this book for girls who feel like don’t fit in anywhere. I personally like this book. I thought it was interesting to learn how people adapt to new places thing and how she realized being different is not so bad

How people work. Why we can't get full without God. The last two chapters can be rough in a marriage. Hard to come to terms with what was once meant to be can not even come close in a broken world. We keep trying, just like in life only with marriage there is the tendency to look to the other as less than ideal insead of self.
