I'm writing this review so that I can remember different things about it for book club. Fellow club members, beware of spoilers. Like John, I wish I knew a damn thing about guns so I could understand what was wrong with his. Sara and Willow seemed a bit too good for me, like they were there to be microscopes more than characters. I was engrossed by the Seton family, especially Spencer, Charlotte, and Nan. Spencer is my argumentative side, the one who would ask God for a sign, see a hand come from the heavens pointing down, and then ask what the hell that means. Charlotte was a good kid with the wrong choice at the wrong moment. Nan I wish had been explored more. Especially the scene in which she asks her son about her work and is relieved to avoid the intimacy. Aren't we all like that? Don't we all let routine and activity replace intimacy? Overally, I liked it but I wanted more. I especially should not have read this after Ehrenreich, because I kept asking myself why the author didn't have the nerve to make money an issue. Because Americans don't like taking on class, even in the safe world of fiction.

I really liked this one...I probably would give it another half a star. The first book in another YA series. The main character is a tough, hard-nosed, stubborn girl who leads a hodge-podge group of misfits to rescue her brother who has been kidnapped by a crazy king who believes he is a reincarnation of Louis XIV Unlike other YA books, the setting is a form of the earth, just overworked and barren. I will continue reading this series.

This book made me realize a whole lot I didn't know about the Taliban and life in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't usually like books like this, as the ending isn't very happy, but I couldn't put it down. It was good to learn about a different culture. We used this book as a book study at UAB in our School of Education last fall.

I totally fell in love with the characters in this book. David Nicholls did a superb job with his character development and I felt that both Emma and Dexter were very complex. Mr. Nichols insight into both the male perspective and the female perspective was spot on and I was impressed at the complexity of the relationship between them. I laughed and I cried through the book and at the end felt as if I were losing two friends.

So this book says it will save you hundreds of dollars, and I honestly don't know if it did/will do that because I didn't try doing this without the book. What I do know is that it gave me a lot of peace of mind, since I was able to narrow down the literally thousands of baby products out there to what I actually need and what I actually want. That peace of mind is worth way more than a few hundred bucks! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is expecting, and in fact I have.

i thought this was adorable. the whole movie night idea with all the brothers and their shellans, along with the bachelors (at the time). it shows how close they are even more and that they dont mind spending quality time together. Merged review: This was cute, I loved the little tidbits of info you find out about each Brother, the interviews, chatrooms and helpful tips on how to become your own writer.

I had no interest in this movie or book until I saw the author speak, then I thought...Oh, I'll give it a shot...and LOVED IT!!!! I love how the author is able to get into the minds of ALL of her characters and tell such a marvelous story of friendship as well as their individual lives
