Do you know the piece? Do you know anything about Oblomovism in Russian culture? Try to read this! There won't be any regret! این کتاب بی نظیر گنچارف توسط سروش حبیبی به فارسی برگردانده شده و در 1355 توسط امیرکبیر منتشر شده است.

Another Inspector Rutledge mystery that keeps the reader at the edge of their seat. If you're not used to the Inspector Rutledge series they tend to bog down a little. Rutledge is a veteran of world war one and he carries a bit of baggage from that effort. His memories tend to get in the way a bit with his effort to solve crime. But, that notwithstanding, the Rutledge series and this book in particular is a classic of the British mystery genre. Its murder, of course, and it involves multiple victims. The crime needs to be solved quickly and Rutledge is called upon to solve it. If you like British mysteries you'll like 'Lonely Death'.

Another strong novel my Robert. I know he aims these books for teenagers, but I still love the storylines and the writing. The pages just fly by! The only issue I really had with this book was the ending that just sort of tapered off unlike the rest of his books which generally end with a BANG followed by a slight conclusion. It's not like the story didn't have it's highlights (it did), I just wasn't expecting pages of nothingness after the major plot line had ceased. Even with this, I'd still highly recommend the book to others and can't wait until next year when the next book in this new and exciting series is released!

The structure of this book is more balanced than the first, which you might like or not, and it gives you more of a example of Felix when he's well, which again, you might like or not. I did enjoy this book and I enjoyed both narrators, even when I wanted to smack them.

I like David Baldacci's writing. It's fast paced, switches setting frequently to keep interest high, and he puts together a nice mystery. Will enjoy the 3rd in this trio right away.

This was a great ghost story. A urban legand in the making. I loved all the twists and turns. Highly reccomend.

Campy and fun take on career girl fiction from the '50s. My book club had the author over to discuss the book which of course made the experience even more fun and memorable.

** spoiler alert ** I really thought I was going to completely hate this and while I wouldn't say that I liked it, it was okay. There was WAY too much time spent on how unfocused and pseudo-shallow the main character was and not nearly enough time on her redemption. I liked the non-fiction book by this author, but it is really starting to annoy me when authors use the exact same backdrops for all of their work. Target/Vera Wang was also set in Philly and LA, which was non-fiction and no problem. But this was also set in Philly and LA and was a similar version of the same book with the Heaven spin. Eh - maybe I didn't like it instead of thinking it was okay...

This is definitely one of my all-time favorite books! I think, because so much of it is based on Dickens' own life experiences, it is just so filled with emotion and realism! I allowed myself to just take my time reading this one and I enjoyed every word! I love the variety and depth of characters. There is something about almost every character that I can relate to on some level. I had watched the BBC movie of "Little Dorrit" before reading and I think that helped keep some things straight as I read. I have started watching the movie again, after reading the book, and it seems like a different movie because I am getting so much more out of it after getting all the added detail from the book. This book has made me a true Charles Dickens fan and it is definitely at the top of the list of his works as far as I'm concerned!
