In my opinion, the release of the Complete Peanuts is the release of one the greatest works of art that the last century has produced, hell, one of the greatest lifetime achievements that the last century has seen. Fifty years of daily comic strips. Fifty years. All of them brilliant. There's just nothing comparable, nor will there ever be. But, if you consider the Peanuts art like me or if you are just a fan of comic books, I have no doubts that owning at least one of the high-quality Boxed Sets in which they rae being released would do your book collection good. (and you'd enjoy reading them...) As for which one you buy, well, I have no preferences. This one is especially close to me heart, because I was born in 1978 (yes I am really THAT old *rolls eyes*), but true Peanuts-philes will probably have intellectual arguments why one or another volume is better or more relevant. Me, like I said, I see the whole collection as a piece of art. It just wouldn't be the same if I didn't buy every single one of the books. (OMG and they look so pretty on my shelf, too! *g*)

I liked this book for the witty banter between the two main characters on a long road trip. I could really feel how they'd been best friends for 4 years and there was uncertainty as to whether they should be more. I also LOVED all the Portland references, but I'm from Portland and am therefore prejudiced to my town's awesomeness. It was a nice, quick, light read.

This is one dense, fact-filled mother! It's fascinating though. This guy was a beast to the 10th power. How and why he wasn't stopped will curl your hair. If I had a time machine I'd go back and blast him to smithereens. (I'd also go back to the era when Chihuahua's ran in feral packs in South America...)

Meg travels with her actor-fiance Michael to a fan convention for "Porfiria, Queen of the Jungle" - a cheesy cult TV show on which Michael has a minor role. But when the show's star is found murdered, the police have plenty of suspects. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* An enjoyable cozy mystery with touches of humor - liked the setting of a TV show convention - it made all the suspects quirky for a reason! I did figure out the murderer before Meg did but that's ok, it didn't diminish the pleasure of reading it.
