I found this incredibly (excuse the adjective) wordy and hard to get through. There was even a point where it seemed the author was sidetracked just enjoying the sounds of his words. I like the plot, though as a mystery goes, I don't think the ending is quite justified by the clues along the way, but I'm not sure it was worth the time it took to get through the whole thing. I also found the narrator/main character somewhat unattractive and not intriguing

All points to the author and the translator for the writing. It is gorgeous, florid, and very dramatic. There a bunch of lines I'd love to share here but I'll leave you to discover them on your own. I started out loving it and then it just seemed to drag on a bit, the only thing that really kept me going was the writing. The mystery was very neatly done up through mass information dumps throughout the book. It just got a bit much as time went on.

Watched, by Cindy M. Hogan was way good. It was a face paced murder. Throughout the story the character who was telling the story, Christy, grew a lot throughout the book. She was used to having no friends back home in Montana and coming to Washington D.C. for a school trip made her very different. She became liked. This book is thrilling and intense. I like how the author always told how Christy was feeling. I also liked how Christy had lots of good values. I also like the love triangle in this book! Overall this was a fantastic book! I liked it a lot.
