María Merioma merioma — Trying to choose a few shelves for this one difficult. I don't have a horror shelf. Do I need one? I was half-tempted to click a dozen boxes at random, make others do the work of making meaning, and call it appropriate. House of Leaves manages to be viscerally creepy as a story and successful as an involved intellectual experiment, which is impressive. By complicating the act of reading, it encourages very close attention. The core story about the House is engrossing -- I admit I was sometimes loathe to interrupt it for Johnny's exploits -- and the way the story is told makes the confusion part of the emotional experience, forgivable, even pleasurable. That said, while I was sorry for Johnny and curious what happened to him, I often found his additions less interesting, and I found some of the latter parts of the central story less gripping than the rest, and some of its characters' motivations and actions hard to buy, even with lengthy analysis making the downpayment.

Tomas Cummings tommings — Watched, by Cindy M. Hogan was way good. It was a face paced murder. Throughout the story the character who was telling the story, Christy, grew a lot throughout the book. She was used to having no friends back home in Montana and coming to Washington D.C. for a school trip made her very different. She became liked. This book is thrilling and intense. I like how the author always told how Christy was feeling. I also liked how Christy had lots of good values. I also like the love triangle in this book! Overall this was a fantastic book! I liked it a lot.
