One of my all time favorite tales blending a variety of characters together to make one fabulous fairy tale. Who would know a mouse/knight would be such a fantastic lead character! Everyone should read this book.

Its hard to explain how I felt about this book. I enjoyed reading it but it was horrible and pointless. Does that make any sense? Maybe you have to read it to understand...lol.

This book is cute and funny but also has some very sad parts. Ultimately it's an amazing story about the relationship between men and animals.

This is the best book I have read by Kristin Hannah, and I've read quite a few. The device of the fairy tales is brilliant and a wonderful structural element. It teaches of a time and place in history that was unknown to me, and very interesting. The characters of the two sister and the mother are vivid and play well against each other. The very ending was a bit disappointing, a little too cliché, but aside from that it is a totally engaging book. The author's prose gets richer and more poetic with each of her creations and I look forward to the next.

This book is the final book in the 1-800-where-r-you series, by meg cabot. I think it's definitely the best one. After Jessica Mastriani is hit by lightening, she discovers that she has unique powers to find the location of any body, whether they are dead, or alive. After using her powers to find missing people she can't help but know their whereabouts, she ends up helping the US government, with the war. Working for them does not work for long, because 6 months later, struck by the horrors of war, Jess's powers disappear, and she returns home, a shadow of her old self. She's attending Juilliard, and sharing an apartment with her best friend and brother, lying to herself about what she really wants, and she hasn't had much contact with her family and friends back home. Then Rob Wilkins shows up, her old boyfriend who she has always loved- and asks for her help. They go on a mission to find Rob's missing sister, and along the way, Jess begins to "repair" herself, and start to understand things she's never understood about Rob before. So it's a very good book. There's some mystery, fantasy, and romance in it, and I really reccomend it!!! (You should read the whole series, but this one is the best of them all) :):):)

i thought foer did an outstanding job of creating the multi-dimensiona characters, all of whom have been so deeply affected by the Holocaust and are all trying to come to terms with theirs (and their families) pasts... and also revealing what each character is driven by and searching for: no one is who they immediately seem at the onset. i loved the play between the "interpreter" in the Ukraine and the main character. i thought it was expertly written, original, and moving.

A romantic comedy in book form, Meg Cabot pens another page-turning fun book in which the main character often says too much and gets herself in trouble, which especially troubling when trying not to like a man she meets on the train, who turns out to be the owner of the villa her friends have invited her to join.

For about 90% of this book, I really didn't like Olive. A retired schoolteacher, Olive is cold, distant, critical, and sometimes downright cruel. What's strange is that Olive seems to be at her best when her neighbors are in need. Seemingly without knowing it, Olive seems to know just what to say and do when someone is in crisis. The novel is a series of short stories, each one focused on a character from a small town in Maine who has somehow encountered Olive in their life. While the book tended to drag a bit at the beginning and its definitely not an uplifting read, the author is a master at creating flawed, realistic characters that show the best and worst of human nature.
