This is my all-time favorite series of books. Romance, politics, history, fantasy - it's all here. Martin writes each chapter from a different characters' perspective. To add to the fun, the evil characters are often shown to have real emotions and you'll sometimes even grow to like them. Don't get too attached to any of the main characters. No one is protected in Martin's world.

I really liked this book. Which makes me feel quite confused. It is not a feel good book at all. In fact, in parts I was quite angry and upset with the characters. It is a book that draws you in. I smiled when the children were having the wild carefree adventures we all wish we had as children. While realizing these children were not carefree but learning life in a way quite different than many of us. Read it!

This is another amazing addition to the series. Here in "Encouraging the Writer", the story revolves around a wonderful take on a Shakespeare classic. While the slings and arrows are hurled at the making of this 'production', the play within the story that is, a marvelous love blossoms on its own between the producer and the writer. In a classic Serena ending, the two gentlemen celebrate a triumphant confrontation with their 'critics' in a bewitching setting that really exists in Edinburgh. I look forward to the fourth New Horizon as soon as possible.

A definite twist on the fairy tales we know and love, Rapunzel- was the "witch" really mean or just an overprotective mother. What kind of feelings the the dwarves REALLY have about Snow White? (That's a story you'll have to read twice). Cinderella- revenge is best served cold. Overall an excellent read!

This book was great both in terms of story and offering different perspectives. Most of what the characters do or feel reflects me pretty closely, and so I was able to relate easily. This is the first book in a long time that made me underline different things so I could go back to them later.
