Young or old... read this book! It's such a wonderful story. Adults that love reading can finish in a day.

This book just never picked up speed. It had an interesting plot and characters but when it was time to take it back to the library I did not feel compelled to check it out again--a sure sign.

I liked the premise of this book more than I liked the book itself. Premise: The editor offered real postcards (old ones that had been sent through the mail) to comic book writers and illustrators. The writers let their imaginations run wild in writing stories inspired by the messages written on the postcards. The illustrators did the art work. The book was a good read, a good way to pass the time, but I didn't find anything in it spectacular.

Don't be fooled by the happy looking frog on the cover, this book means serious business, for gaining the power to say "No", is both an empowering and necessary step to take control of your own life. Written in a warm style, as if from a personal friend, I might have used more bulleted lists and arranged some of the material differently, but "Rediscovering the Power of 'No'" is a worthy, little read. This ebook is rather in a workbook format, with progressive exercises to help you get your "No" back in gear. It requests you really look deep into your motivations and some of the reasons one might feel overwhelmed by even simple requests. Some of the suggestions and encouragement might be common sense, but they are also things everyone needs to hear again, especially those struggling with everything from feelings of inadequacy to depression. Not to replace professional counseling if such is needed, it's a good stepping stone for personal empowerment. This is part of the Personal Confidantency Series. This was very interesting. More Biography than I expected, but a really great read. I always knew all of the Royalty in Europe was related, now I know why! I enjoyed it.

I need to write a blog post on this book because it was awesome. Seriously...humor, action, a little bit of romance thrown in for good measure and Mr. Melton has made a fan of me. I cannot wait for his next book. Snarky, witty banter combined with characters that have heart is a winning combination. I loved it!

I thoroughly enjoy this series from Kathleen George. She's from Pittsburgh and it's where her stories take place. It really makes you feel like you're right along for the ride or in the action because you know exactly where she's talking about. Oddly enough, I'd never heard of Sugar Lake and I am pretty well-traveled around Pittsburgh. I knew the other places though and pictured the "cottages" in my head based on other places I know like that. In addition, I used to know a lot of Pittsburgh police and have kind of given my own faces to the characters in this series. All of her stories are very true to life and so it's refreshing that she's not writing about something that is really a stretch to buy into. Her characters are strong when they need to be and vulnerable when called for as well. Oftentimes, you end up feeling sorry for one of the "criminals" (for lack of a better word) because she makes you very sympathetic to their plight. It only takes me a few hours to read these because they are definite page turners. I always try to support the local writers and this one gets a two-thumbs up!

You will either love or hate the ending of the series. Or maybe go back and forth like I did. The last book is decent, it's got some annoying Deus Ex Machina but as a whole it's a decent end to a good series.

This book is amazing. The story itself is crazy. It's about the author who grew up with a poor family who was always moving and just getting by. It is very heartfelt and shocking. The way it was written goes perfectly with the story and makes you feel like you were actually there. This story will make you think about a lot of things, especially if you live in New York City which has a high rate of poverty and homelessness. It gives you a new perspective on things.
