i loved this book! I read it twice. It was a beautiful story that kept my interest. I was a little confused when reading it the first time, i flipped back a few times. The second time i read it i understood it better.

I enjoyed reading it very much. I felt the time is very different because the people are so honest & moving whether good or evil. I hadn't know that Christianity played a huge part in the oppressed race patience & prayers. I guess when it comes to religion, the strong believers are the weaker individuals. I thought some characters were too perfect or dramatic but we are talking about a different era! I do recommend this book, many stories mingling together nicely & in a fast pace.

Serenity is the third princess, an ordinary princess. Nothing special like her sisters. She isn't pretty, or clever, but her thoughtfullness and happy memories win her the crown. I don't know who Jane Ray is, but she's pretty much amazing. How can someone be so talented to create a story that enjoyable, and pictures so gorgeous all at the same time???

Ozma of Oz is the third book from L. Frank Baum, and it continues the familiar land of Oz story. It reunites Dorothy with her old friends the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion, and as with the last book, Baum also introduces us to a few new characters that play a vital role in the story. Dorothy and her friends travel to the adjoining Land of Ev, which is currently suffering from the evil King of the Nomes. He seems a likable enough fella, but his true colors are revealed when things don't go his way. Fortunately, Dorothy and her friends are there to save the day. This installment was OK, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the previous two. It contains things that I'm sure would appear magical to a child in the early 1900's; however, Today's children would probably find the notion of a lunch pail and dinner pail tree to be a bit silly if they even knew what those things are. The Hungry Tiger character was a bit disturbing because he wants to eat fat babies, but he realizes he would probably feel bad about that so he just remains hungry.
