2.5 stars I really liked the side story of Tony and Mark being friends in H.S. and unrequited love. I loved the dialog between these two and all the scenes involving them were just great. I even was ok with the over all plot of Mark getting screwed over by a cheating ex but i found myself being bored more often than not. I also loved when you found out what "Godsmacked" is. Had me dying.

I think that this is one of the better novels written by Jodi Picoult. Like many of her books, this one is based on the true story of a middle-aged woman who decides to conceive a baby for the sole purpose of providing life saving genetic material for an older child stricken with a rare cancer. The moral dilemmas are nuanced and well-developed and the outcome is not one which the reader could have predicted.

My favorite Brit vampire-- Bones --and his beloved "Red Reaper"-- Cat --are back! Notice how I put Bones' name first? He is the main reason why I love these Night Huntress books. He has endless passion and unconditional love for Cat. Yes, my man Bones isn't perfect but he stays loyal even when Cat has absurd grievances about Bones' behavior; him going around pounding his chest claiming what's his isn't really something to fret about Cat but that is why I keep reading. Who needs picture perfect when trouble is so much more exciting? At Grave's End, has tons of action with a splash of romance, Ms. Frost didn't fail but excelled. Let's see what other plot Ms. Frost can send our way.

One of my favorite books to recommend to friends! This is a must-read and totally worth its hefty size. I put in the longest consecutive reading hours of my life with this one. I couldn't put it down- what a wonderful story! I am also impressed with the writer's ability to capture 3 such completely different characters. It is almost as if it is written by 3 different people!

Took me forever to finish this book, which was not the fault of the book at all. I began taking my laptop to work and borrowing WiFi instead of reading. I was able to get right back into the story and the twists and turns were fun.

Beautiful, lyrical and dreamy in its utter unwillingness to give the reader a plot to cling to, this will not be to everyone's taste. The first part deals with the story of three people who grew up together on a remote farm and the consequences of two of those sleeping together. But then we essentially get another novella, loosely connected to the first, about a French writer. For those who were really hoping to follow the characters of the first story, the shift might be disappointing. I was just able to wallow in the language, the imagery, and the purity of Ondaatje's writing and go along for the ride.
