3rd and 4th article and the last one has many mistakes in translation. The first and second article were good and interesting articles.

Love WoW & am a big lore geek :) It's always nice to read the stories behind the game world you're so emerged in for hours on end. Can't say the book is superbly written, but that's not really the point ;)

Loved this book! I "read" it when it first came out. Actually I listened to the unabridged audio version which was read by the author. It gave it even more depth to hear it presented by him. I thought the character development was outstanding through the friendship of the boys.

The definitive work of "total" history--an amazing portrait and societal analysis of this medival french village.

This was a refreshing and delightful read. It didn't dwell on emotions and reasons and simply let the reader take a journey. I already have the second book requested from the library.

i guess i was late to the game, having never seen the movie or read the book, but here goes: Interview is the story of a 17th century Louisiana plantation owner who is turned into a vampire, and the decades / centuries that follow -- most of them filled with philosophical and religious angst at the creature he has become. Rice's style is lush, exotic, and foreign -- just like her subjects (though i admit, if i had to read "preternatural" again, i was going to hurl the book across the room). the plot moves slowly but thoughtfully, without much reference to time. sensible, since time matters little to vamps. a good read, but probably not enough for me to go out and find the next book in the series, or rent the movie.

I laughed countless times throughout reading this book. Ms. Notaro has a snarky wit that had me laughing out loud constantly.

Told in poems by various characters, this is a very sad history of Cuba's many wars for independence. But through it all runs the hope and dedication of Rosa(a real perosn).

This is not a book to read if you are interested in alternative ethics. This is a book to read if you are interested in the poly amorous lifestyle and want a primer before you start. The book does not convincingly lay out respect for monogamy. While "sexually liberated monogamy" is listed as respectable in a perfunctory way, the authors come across as quite condescending to the monogamous. I respect many of the core tenets of the book but I think part of the problem lies in the authors being in a minority. When you are in a minority, there can be a tendency to be overly defensive and critical of the majority. This is as unbalanced a position as the majority dismissing the view point of the minority. Being a racial minority, I have a great deal of sympathy for minority viewpoints and I have a good number of polyanmorous friends. When I was an "angry young man" with resentment over minority oppression, I took many of this same unbalanced approach on different issues. As an adult who knows more view points than one can be valid, such a position comes across as arrogant and short-sighted to me. If I did not know polyamorous people, I probably would have come away from this book with less respect for the lifestyle than I had before due to this tone. Also, the book does little to address the fact that poly amorous people have to live in a society that is monogamous and how to ethically interact with the monogamous when you are "open".
