As someone who secretely loves murder mysteries and not-so-secretely loves the middle ages and particularely medieval philosophy, I fell completely in love with this book. It was well-written, the story was good and exciting, and there were so many great little facts about the middle ages (some I already knew, some I didn't) that got me really excited. The quotes in Latin might be too much for some people, as well as the rants William goes on. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone not interested in the middle ages, but for those of you that are this is a MUST READ. It is now one of my favourite books. Oh, and don't watch the film.

very good memoir of a woman's upbringing in a very poor, anti-establishment family. heartbreaking, but worthwhile. very well written.

I read this with my 9-year-old daughter, at her request. I didn't like the movie at all, so I wasn't too excited about the book to be honest. But I went ahead and I actually quite enjoyed it - it's a very unique idea and fun at a kid's level. Should you read it? Well, that just depends on whether or not you have a child to read with. :)

I love this series and this book surely did not disappoint me. I love Vanda's and Phil's Story! It's romantic, funny and has lots of action. The story line continues from the previous books - - which i love - - with the war between the good and the bad vamps. Can't wait to start Robby's Book. :)

One of my guilty-pleasure are these pop-fiction mystery thriller books, and Kevin O'Brien is great. This one is expecially fun because of it's many movie references. Not only a good read, but I added a bunch of excellent films to my netflix queue!

This is the best book I have read in a long time. This book is a memoir of John Bul Dau, who fled from his hometown in Sudan on foot, to Ethiopia, then to Kenya, a journey of about 1,500 miles total, all while fighting starvation, illness, crocodiles, and soldiers. It is also the story of his subsequent journey to the United States, and the start of a new life in Syracuse. While this story seems like it would be incredibly depressing, the inspiring thing is that he has a deep faith and an amazing sense of hope that comes through the entire story. A must read!!!
