Luke Weng absoluke — Oh. I keep having to put it down. Didion's style of journalism is one I've struggled with. I find her almost too dry sometimes, too terse in her observations. Almost lacking in compassion, to my sensibility. But, then I read this. And I started to see things through her eyes, and understand more about her. And respect her. Still haven't finished the book, but I'm really enjoying the plod.

Julian Andrews _oida — Review coming soon, what I will say now is that the science is tight, the storyline believable and the cast of characters amazing. Definitely a must read for this year.

Luca Bulacu _a_ecima — Maybe reading this the second time around made me realize one thing: It was good not great like The Body Finder (the first book I read from the same author). But the 3 star rating I gave it when I first read it, my bad. Because I loved it more now than when I read it before. I'm rereading this, I'm almost finished and I surprise surprise I didn't liked it that much the first time I read it, but I think I'm giving it a higher rating this time. =) As much as I want to love this book (as others liked it) I just can’t. Yes, the story was good…it kept me entertained through some parts of it but I didn’t like the main characters Charlie and Max and for me liking the main characters is a huge deal. I felt that Charlie and Max’s attraction for each other was too fast and too forced to begin with. I just don’t see the reason why they fell in love with each other. The “you intrigue me” reason of Max was just lame. I don’t see the appeal with Charlie and I don’t know what the fuss is all about people chasing her (yes, she can understand all the languages but then what else), I liked Angelina better (the reason I did finish this book).
