I have say that I liked Wicked a great deal more than this follow up book, but it was fun nonetheless. The author really does a great job with developing his characters and painting a colorful fantasy. The only reason I gave it three stars was because I couldn't identify with the main character Liir and his self-destructive behavior.

This book is a joy to read and one that is a classic witty tale written by John Burningham. The author, John Burningham, has written in such an imaginative way with sketches and illustrations throughout the book which makes the story more interesting to read. It is a tale full of imagination, fantasy and a great adventure to go with it! Has anyone wondered where cats go at night? Well, Marie Elaine did. One night, little Marie Elaine came downstairs for a cold drink of water. Upon arrival, she is taken aback by what she saw. She saw her cat Malcolm all dressed up in fancy clothes and a hat. Marie Elaine questioned Malcolm regarding where he is going. Malcolm replied that he can’t tell her where he is going because it’s a secret! Marie Elaine persuaded the cat Malcolm to come with him to this mysterious secret place. She too then had to change her clothes into a fancy dress, and off they went. Whilst going to this secret place, they were met by a boy called Norman Kowalski who threatens to tell on them if they don’t take him with them to where they are going. They then had to get past wild, barking dogs until finally they reached the amazing secret world of the cats party. Just before dawn, they make their way back to the house. Marie Elaine’s mother pronounced ‘’you look as if you were out all night with the cat’’. If only she knew what Marie Elaine got up to last night!! The great adventures of Marie Elaine and Malcolm the cat in the dark hours of the night make this story very exciting and endearing. It is a book which is a must read for children in primary schools and one where they will certainly be entertained by! It makes for a nice little bedtime story. Recommended reading for children from key stage 1 onwards.

** spoiler alert ** What really kept me going in this series was the fact that my copy of the first book contained the first chapter of the second book, and once I read it, it left me on a cliffhanger, and I had to go get New Moon the next day. The first chapter ends with something to the effect of "I looked up into the eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires..." New Moon keeps you captivated, though, when Edward decides to leave Bella because he thinks that's what's best for her, and then also when she discovers Jacob is a werewolf. Overall I think this is my second favorite of the series.

I don't think this book is long enough to make into a movie so I'm sure there is going to be alot of filler.I do like Daniel Radcliffe though and I like ghost stories so I will see the movie. Slow mocing fist half of the book but than the story moves quicker.

Decently written, but a bit mundane. Claims he liked telling stories and baudy jokes but doesn't record any of them. Doesn't bring it to life. Does a good job of not idolizing Lewis (though he's an admitted fan) but also seems to make a lot of claims without really supporting them with facts or sources.

Based on a series of seven lectures, this read is a bit easier on the brain that Hawkings "A Brief History of Time", but no less enlightening. I enjoyed this book a bit more than his others in that it touches on the philosophical questions of why we seek answers to the orgin of the universe and puts into context, what is and isn't relevant with regards to the concept of time.

Firstly, I adored the getting-back-to-basics feel of this trilogy compared to the others. Drizzt being alone was gripping once more as his tale was starting to get tedious to me. Innovindil really brightened things up and the books held a new appeal. However, I almost do not feel it deserves the four stars I gave it due to the sheer butchering of Catti-Brie's character we saw in this part of the series.
