My desire to conform to public opinion is almost enough to make me give it more, but I can't force myself to do it. The rating of two stars is: "It was OK." And honestly, that's all it was for me. I've read it almost three times, hoping each time that I'll like it better, but I don't. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm. Sorry C.S. Lewis!

陈 小虾 chendanxia52e4 — Mostly a collection of what has already been written, so points off for unoriginality! But I enjoyed the new writings and the author's insights, even though this book is one heavy thing to lug next to your bedside.

Creative Insite creativeinsite — ** spoiler alert ** What really kept me going in this series was the fact that my copy of the first book contained the first chapter of the second book, and once I read it, it left me on a cliffhanger, and I had to go get New Moon the next day. The first chapter ends with something to the effect of "I looked up into the eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires..." New Moon keeps you captivated, though, when Edward decides to leave Bella because he thinks that's what's best for her, and then also when she discovers Jacob is a werewolf. Overall I think this is my second favorite of the series.
