One of the best books I've read in the last couple years - complex and engaging. The passionate story of a love between a periodically time-displaced man and the girl/woman who loves him. Totally engrossing.

Read this in high school, didn't totally appreciate it. Vividly remembered a few scenes but that was it. Read it again December 2012-January 2013, and loved it beyond words. True classic. Favorite part this time: Milo and the syndicate. Amazing(ly funny) take on crony capitalism.

I picked up this book because of all the buzz going around about it. I LOVED the movie Serendipity and this book really seemed akin to that. I found the first 350 pages or so to be long winded and tedious. He explains in great detail EVERYTHING. This is nice when you set the mood but just becomes too much after a while when you're waiting for something to happen. After that the story really starts to come together (or fall apart depending on how you look at it). I found myself skimming a lot just to get through it but still found that I missed nothing. By the time I finished it I was satisfied with the book as a whole (surprisingly). I wouldn't read it again and am glad that I can move on to something else nor would I really recommend it to anyone I know but all in all it was ok.

Hadley doesn't want to go to England. She doesn't want to meet her dad's new wife-to-be. She wants to stay at home and sulk. HELLO, TEENAGER. And Hadley truly is your typical teen. Sometimes she's tad immature, but she soon sees the err of her ways. Yay, Hadley! But more than anything else, I loved loved loved the idea of fate and destiny in this book. Hadley misses her flight by 4 minutes! 4 minutes! That's one song on the ipod, the time is takes to run half a mile, etc. And now she's on this new flight and hits it off the with the guy who just so happens to be sitting next to her on the plane. Now, I know you're thinking "it's a book so obviously the whole fate thing is totally unbelievable and unrealistic", but that's not true at all. I don't feel like anything was too far-fetched and when I think about how I met all the people I know it seems like if ONE thing had been different, maybe we would have never met. Seriously guys, I think about how the Butterfly Effect would change my life all. the. time. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one. If you enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss, you'll like this book. It's cute, fun, and even a stand-alone!

This was really an incredibly beautiful and painful story. Although the subject matter is fantastical, the characters and emotions are just so exquisitely real. There have been books that made me laugh out loud, books that made me smile, but there has never been a book that actually pulled me through such a range of emotions as this one did. Easily my most favorite book ever.
