Guilherme Lima guilherme_lima — I was really excited to read this book. But, I must say, the novelty wore off really quickly. The pace of the book was really choppy and I felt myself "pushing" to finish. The idea of the book is fantastic - I mean, I do love the drawings of Elizabeth Bennet with her katana sword. How fun is that? But, it just felt so forced and contrived. Ugh. I was a bit disappointed.

Celine Sagen _elinesage409d — I picked up this book because of all the buzz going around about it. I LOVED the movie Serendipity and this book really seemed akin to that. I found the first 350 pages or so to be long winded and tedious. He explains in great detail EVERYTHING. This is nice when you set the mood but just becomes too much after a while when you're waiting for something to happen. After that the story really starts to come together (or fall apart depending on how you look at it). I found myself skimming a lot just to get through it but still found that I missed nothing. By the time I finished it I was satisfied with the book as a whole (surprisingly). I wouldn't read it again and am glad that I can move on to something else nor would I really recommend it to anyone I know but all in all it was ok.

Lars Anttila lanttila — The creepiest part of this book is not the zombies but the human characters and the way they treat one another. They are sleazy and left me with a dirty taste in my mouth. Kirkman is an awesome writer and this book is no exception .... It's just totally not my thing. If you like zombies though it probably would totally be your thing. Pencils 6/10 Writing 7/10
