3 Ziynet Ve İlim Ve İbretli Kıssalar TrendKitaplar Kütüphanesi

Tarafından yazılmış kitap Tarafından: Muallim Neşriyat

First Read: March 2011 Original Rating: 5 stars The third book was my favorite. It grabbed me right away, had me in a emotional roller coaster, and left me feeling hallow. These one ends on a cliffhanger, kinda, so I had to pick up the fourth book right away. However, when I started the third book I was hooked. Shadow Kiss is back at the school and it's about Rose figuring out more about Vladimir and Anna, his shadow kiss guardian. It's also when Rose and the other guardians take field training--guarding the moroi on school grounds. Again, Rose fights a lot in this book and I like how it shows her strong (and sometimes not always strong character.) *** Second Read: July 2012 Original Rating: 5 Stars Review is posted here. As I already said above, this book changed this series for me. It went from "okay" to holy crapoly, WHY DON'T I HAVE THE NEXT ONE? (which, related, when I FINISHED Shadow Kiss Sunday night for the second time, I immediately read Blood Promise. At 1 in the morning. I . . . like Blood Promise. A lot. And Spirit Bound. And Last Sacrifice.) ANYWAY. This book is huge. And packs a punch. Rose is now dealing with the loss of Mason and now she's seeing ghosts. And she has to guard Christian for the field activity all guardians have to do in order to graduate. TSK TSK. Rose's life sucks, basically. Guys . . . I just really love this book, and there's not much I can talk about without spoiling it. I mean, as you know, Dimitri is taken by Strigoi. Which, let me tell you something: when I first read this one, I didn't read THAT summary above (seriously, who wrote that? It sucks! the Strigoi attack doesn't happen until like page 350.) but this one: Rose knows it is forbidden to love another guardian. Her best friend, Lissa--the last Dragomir princess--must always come first. Unfortunately, when it comes to gorgeous Dimitri Belikov, some rules are meant to be broken . . . (side note: YES. I would break all the rules for Dimitri.) Then a strange darkness begins to grow in Rose's mind, and ghostly shadows warn of a terrible evil drawing nearer to the Academy's iron gates. The immortal undead are closing in, and they want vengeance for the lives Rose has stolen. In a heart-stopping battle to rival her worst nightmares, Rose will have to choose between life, love, and the two people who matter most . . . but will her choice mean that only one can survive? And so when I got to the part about them going to the cave, I KNEW what was going to happen. I was freaking out and saying "Oh my god, if he turns Strigoi, I AM NEVER READING THIS SERIES AGAIN." like I wasn't even going to finish it. Spoiler: I totally fucking finished this series AND he turned Strigoi. I suck at keeping promises. And I am so glad I did finish the rest of the series, because like I said before (REPEATING ALL THE WAY) this is when the series gets good. THIS is where I would advise people to start if it didn't really confuse them. With I don't think it would because Richelle Mead has a way of reminding readers of what happened in previous books. But whatever. I'm off to go read whatever book I'm currently on. And I'm hoping it's Spirit Bound. OH and before I forget: Shadow Kiss's cover is awesome. It looks like she's a vampire ready to eat you. Or well Rose before she's about to attack.

Tanrının Öyküsü - Tanrı mı İnsanı İnsan mı Tanrıyı Yarattı? - Robert Winston TrendKitaplar Kütüphanesi

Title is a little bit misleading. But is a great to reflect on where photography came and where it is now. Mainly focusing on the US (and NY) might be a pitfall. But to be honest: a lot of good photographers comes from that region. Know your culture and you know your self. This book for art aficionados may assit you Publisher's Description In Photography After Frank, former New York Times writer and picture editor Philip Gefter narrates the tale of contemporary photography, beginning at the pivotal moment when Robert Frank commenced his seminal works of the 1950s. Along the way, he connects the dots of photography's evolution into what it is today, forging links between its episodes to reveal unsuspected leaps. Gefter takes Frank's The Americans as a decisive challenge to photographic objectivity, with its grainy, off-hand-seeming spontaneity and its documentation of life beyond the picket fence. Thus viewed, The Americans provides Gefter with a bridge to the phenomenon of the staged document' and Postmodernism's further challenge to image fidelity. Other areas of discussion include photojournalism, the recent diversity of portraiture styles, the influence of private and corporate collections on curatorial decisions and how the market shapes art making. Throughout Photography After Frank, Gefter deftly demonstrates Frank's legacy in the work of dozens of important individual artists who followed in his wake, from Lee Friedlander and Nan Goldin to Stephen Shore and Ryan McGinley. The book includes texts written exclusively for this publication as well as essays drawn from Gefter's critical writings, reviews and even obituaries. Photography After Frank offers a page-turning approach to a subject that will appeal to students and art world aficionados alike.
