I'm surprised at myself for even picking up a Sophie Kinsella book after wasting my time on "Confessions of a Shopaholic" a few years ago. However, this one was a fair bit better as I didn't want to continually try shaking some sense into the heroine. While the story was a bit far-fetched (really, stopping at some stranger's house to ask for water or Tylenol and then becoming their housekeeper?), the characters were entertaining and it was a light, easy read (which is what I was looking for).

Felt like it took itself a bit too seriously. Frampton created a whole new world in Fignation - and we really only saw glimpses of it. I would have liked to have seen more.

This was the second book that we've read in this A to Z Mysteries series. So far, we've enjoyed them; they are clever enough to be somewhat interesting for me and simple enough for our girls to deduce some of the plot from the clues. We are looking forward to reading more books in this series.

An okay story, but not as spectacular as many of her other books -- I actually had a little bit of trouble getting through this.

The history behind this novel is so compelling (horrible, but everyone should know about French complicity in rounding up Jews in WWII) but the story was just not all that well written, and pretty melodramatic. Lots of sentences like "She was stunned. She didn't know how to feel." Yes. Okay. Whatever. I did like the interweaving of the two stories in the book. I heard Kristin Scott Thomas on Fresh Air recently--she's apparently going to play the lead in the film version, and I'd watch her do just about anything, so we'll see how it translates--may be one of those rare books that's actually better on the screen. As long as there aren't awful voiceovers...

One of the best new series I have found in a while. The premis is very original and not a copy of so many others out there. As with many other paranormal romance series this book, the second in the series, is used to further build on the mystery within the overall series while solving a small piece of the puzzle. Morgan leaves you wanting more and needing to know what will happen next. I think my favorite part of the series is there are several mysteries going on at once: -Why do the Paladins go mad and how to save them? -Why do the Others keep coming over? -Who is the traitor? I can't wait for the next book.

Nigel Kennedy - The Very Best of Nigel Kennedy (2 CD) TrendKitaplar Kütüphanesi

It's rare that I finish a book and don't really know what I thought about it. I Liked the beginning, REALLY liked the last 20 pages and tolerated the middle. One thing that really bothered me is that one of the main characters is about 6 weeks pregnant when she "feels" her baby moving inside of her. CRAP. Everyone who has ever had a baby knows that you don't feel your baby moving till 3 months at the earliest and up to 5 months for first time moms! For some reason it really took me out of the story. It was creepy and fun. Shoulder shrug. 2.5 stars.
