Started off interesting, but then dropped off toward the end. Pretty much the same arguments against religion as other athiests write about - Crusades, human sacrifice, sexual repression - but written in a more-interesting-to-read manner.

really informative, eye-opening, enlightening, all those things. not only about the health detriments of fast-food, but the problems w/in the entire industry and how they affect this country and the world. definitely the kind of nonfiction i enjoy and aspire to write one day. also, i might never eat another chicken mcnugget. support your local in-n-out burger!

2 1/2 stars. This book... It was sad, but good, but not. The end, where they begin to forget everything, is slightly sad. The very end made me sad because Liz as a person no longer existed. But it's whimsy-sadness, not depression-sadness, so I can forgive that. Still, it got me thinking. Elsewhere must be a pretty sad place sometimes. Have I mentioned the word 'sad' much? There is no plot. It's written in the present tense, and a little naively, too. I don't really like this book. I just bought it because the idea stuck out. Oh, heck, the this book deserves a read anyway. Seriously. Just read it for the idea, the unusual perspective of its tale: a coming-of-age story where you get younger. After you die. I didn't like it, but it's strangely readable.
