I liked it. I had to make sure that I ddin't compare it to Bel Canto which i loved. I thought this novel brought up interesting points, but I am not sure I feel like they were explored enough. Ending was disapointing

This book was not as good as "Eats Shoots and Leaves," but still delighfully funny. Maybe I don't care quite as much about etiquette - British etiquette at that - as I do about grammar and punctuation. Her observations did not ring true as often as they did in her other book. If you enjoyed Lynne Truss' witticisms in her first book, you will get a good laugh out of this one as well. But if you have never read her writing, please do not start with this book.

Johnathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis team yet again in search of a killer who dumps victims in a marsh after strangling them and cutting off their right hand. The bodies are positioned facing East. "The murdered women are prostitutes-except the most recent victim; a brilliant young musician from the East Coast, employed by a wealthy family to tutor a musical prodigy, Selena Bass seems out of place in the marsh's grim tableau." Kellerman always keeps me page turning regardless of the quality of the writing. This one is not his best but I enjoyed it non-the-less.

This book was a mixed bag. Most of the characters were irritating either because they were obnoxious or ridiculously naive. The Elder was the exception, but he dies in the middle of the book. The story was quite melodramatic, which I found unappealing. But it gets 3 starts because of the bits about the Elder which I loved and if just for those sections it would get 5 stars. It really helped me through this difficult period of trying to finish my dissertation. For instance: honest by nature, demanding the truth, seeking it and believing in it, and in that belief demanding immediate participation in it with all the strength of his soul; demanding an immediate deed, with an unfailing desire to sacrifice everything for this deed, even life. Although, unfortunately, these young men do not understand that the sacrifice of life is, perhaps, the easiest of all sacrifices in many cases, while to sacrifice, for example, five or six years of their ebulliently youthful life to hard, difficult studies, to learning, in order to increase tenfold their strength to serve the very truth and the very deed that they loved and set out toe accomplish - such sacrifice is quite often almost beyond the strength of many of them. I referred back to this quote many times in these past weeks. Thank you Dostoevsky.

I liked it - interesting twists around bizarre premise. Adding art controversy - strange 9/11 twist

This book changed my life and my perspective forever. Immaculee Ilibagiza has a beautiful heart that shines in her writing. This is one of the most spiritually uplifting books I have read outside scripture - akin to Corrie Ten Boom's "The Hiding Place." A powerful story - and I'm glad to know more about the history of Rwanda, after enjoying the film, "Hotel Rwanda."

Hi, I'm the author and very excited about this book - Deputy Sheriff Commander Jake Carson has his hands full with the investigation of a brutal multiple homicide, a troubled son and a vindictive ex-wife when he meets young, free-spirited paramedic Julie Jennings. He is immediately drawn to her and finds himself unexpectedly falling in love. Julie finds herself just as drawn to him. When Julie becomes the subject of an obsession, it puts both of their lives in extreme danger... and I just received a review from Coffee Time Romance: (excerpt)"Final Sin is a real nail biter, and entirely too good to pass up, a true testament to Chelle Cordero’s talent." This was a GREAT book. Several points I laughed out loud with the humor. But I think the message carries through to today, not only among races, but also among classes.
