Great religious analysis of the origins of anti-semitism, primarily in terms of blaming Christ's execution on the Jews, and tying their identity to the devil himself. Pagels' work on religious history is fantastic, and amazingly readable.

This was a very informative book on self-sufficient living. It was all-inclusive with everything you need to know from food storage to gardening to emergency practices. It is very simple and makes preparedness not seem so overwhelming. I really liked her focus on the nutritional aspects of whole foods and live or raw foods. It helped me understand the versatility of all that food sitting in cans in our storage. I totally recommend this book!

This book has alot to do with paranormal/ghost activity. This does not seem the typical topic Picoult has written about, where most often her books are about topics that can be considered controversial. There are various stories being told in the book, and in the end they all weave together. At first I had a hard time keeping them all straight. Picoult really did some research on this one, even to go as far as meeting with TAPS founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson to learn more about paranomral investigation. Overall, I enjoyed the book, and wanted to keep reading more. I look forward to reading many more of her books.

I just couldn't get into this book at all. A few friends have been telling me for a year how much I'd like this Swedish author's novels. They were dead wrong...try as I might, and believe me I tried several times, it just wasn't for me.

I'm a sucker for all things Shakespeare, so this book was in my wheelhouse. Lots of suspense and mystery, and lots of information about Shakespeare's age and time and the question of authorship of the plays, but at times I felt the pace was a little too fast - in the vein of The DaVinci Code, etc. - and that gave the book a cartoonish feel.
