See, I hate books like this. The premise was just fresh enough for me to be interested in finding out what happens, but the writing wasn't worth the effort it took to get there. Bummer.

This book is so depressing at the end, but very good otherwise.

This book exposes Greg Mortenson, Director of the Central Asia Institute as a fraud. This was heartbreaking to read because Mr. Mortenson has been such an effective spokesperson for the education of girls and has done a lot of good. I really wanted to believe I could support his cause and reduce violence in the world and I was duped. Ultimately, his stories presented in Three Cups of Tea and Stones Into Schools are largely works of fiction and his nonprofit organizations CAI and Pennies for Peace cook their books.

One of my favorite parenting books - practically and reasonably explains things my mother's heart was already sensing as we raise our young boys. One of the best things I took away from this book was in addition to simplifying things, choices, information, etc. we should simplify our speech and conversation and have a rule: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? If it doesn't fit into one of those categories, we don't waste time talking about it. This is a very Biblical principle as well and one that keeps gossip/slander to a minimum. Great book.

Stick through the dry beginning of the hows and whys of environmental pyschology to get to the "heart" of the book: the nine love stories centered around landmarks of NYC.

Fans of Robertson's Instruments of Darkness won't be disappointed in this follow-up novel that takes our unconventional sleuths (anatomist Gabriel Crowther and navy wife Harriet Westerman) to London for their next adventure. Intertwining plot lines come together effortlessly under Robertson's deft guidance. Again she brings to life the historical aspects of the 1780's without sacrificing character development, rich prose, and (of course) a compelling mystery. I loved it!

This book straightend me right up when it comes to men. I know now how to chose my next man and exactly what I need to do to keep him. Kudos to Steve Harvey. If women read this and don't understand that these words are coming out of a man who has been married three times and has finally learned how to be a good man.... then they just don't want to hear the truth. It is what it is. Be smart, keep yourself updated.. looks wise and intelligence wise. Keep it real. That's basically what Steve says. Keep it real!!! Stop dreaming and waiting for a man to be your saviour. It takes two whole people to have a successful relationship!

I've read this book before, but I didn't remember that until I started reading it again. I don't think I've read the whole series though. As I plan on continuing I guess I'll find out. This is a story about Flint of outworld. He Is a caveman of high intelligence, with an eidetic memory, and most importantly a kirilian aura of 200. A kirilian aura is often compared to a soul in the book and that is the easiest way to describe it. He is recruited by the government of Sol to stop the andromedan menace by giving other clusters of planets the ability to transfer ther Kirilian Aura into Host bodies. It's an interesting book, very Conan the barbarian in a way. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
