How could I not be attracted to a book about a "Papessa" (lady pope)? The writing is a bit breathless and I question whether some of the conclusions are just extrapolitions. But this is basically "Pulp Fiction" of the 17th Century Vatican. Can't really recommend it much though.

This book started out interesting and intriguing, but quickly got to be too much for me. The characters, plot, and sub-plot got to be too confusing. With most books I'm able to suspend disbelief, but while reading this I kept thinking that this couldn't happen without someone taking more notice. Overall it wasn't bad, just wasn't great.

Read this to a toddler group on a whim and they LOVED it! It's a bit on the long side still for Toddlers, but they love the "bear wants more" refrain and started saying it with me immediately.

I love the way this book is put together with a 'journal' format from one of the characters and online 'video' from the other main character. The two formats together form a very creepy story. Lots of kids at the elementary school won't sleep well after watching/reading this book!

If you read mainstream comics, you've read this story 100 times before. Good guy is wronged. Seeks revenge on those that wronged him. Realizes his fury clouds his judgment, and realizing this turns to the side of light. ETC. Still, this wasn't bad. It's pretty much Batman, by way of Green Lantern. I have to say, while I could take Space Ghost "seriously", I could not do the same for Zorak. I mean, it's Zorak! He's always going to be that dufus from Coast to Coast to me. There is nothing menacing about him now.
