I was so optimistic and then to find out that the reason Dracula is killing people is because he is a (SPOILER) big book lover and wants to save hard to find and out of print manuscripts. Oh, the disappointment of this book. I wanted a good vampire scare and I got a PBS commercial on the importance of reading. Save your time and read Interview with a Vampire

Arterrorists Inc arterrorists — I was really looking forward to reading this book, especially since one of Melissa Kantor's other books is one of my favorites. I could not enjoy this one, though, and it made me kind of sad. The main character was a little too emotional from a breakup with a guy that didn't even seem that great and there was a lot of unneeded things brought up. I set the book down after reading the 22 page. It was really disappointing. :( Just because this book wasn't the greatest, don't be fooled. The author is still a great writer and look for her book, If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince?, at your local library. It's a great read!

Roxana Soledad _oxana_oledad — Just reread this to teach it this semester. This is probably the most complex novel I've taught to my gen-ed lit kids-- Caribbean sci-fi! Carnival culture shock! Planet hopping to prison colonies + uninvented technologies + hard-to-imagine creatures. I hope my students dig it; there's a lot going on in here & most of it is worthy of their undivided attention.

Viktor Kilbo kilbo — I love the way this book is put together with a 'journal' format from one of the characters and online 'video' from the other main character. The two formats together form a very creepy story. Lots of kids at the elementary school won't sleep well after watching/reading this book!

Dominic Alvarez _ominic_lvarez — Remarkably easy reading, runs smoothly almost like a novel. Very factual and true to history.
