I use this book in the bullshit class as a foil for the Orwell. It's really pretty terrible. Lakoff has some reasonable claims to make about conservatives manipulating language, but his positive proposals for how the Democrats should revise language are preposterous and the cognitive science background for his recommendations makes it seem like Democrats and Republicans can't understand each other because their brains are wired up differently.

This is a book, not only about a Superbowl Champion Quarterback, but a story about perseverance. A story about wanting one thing one day, and realizing you meant for something greater. I knew of Drew Brees when I got the book, I only knew he was the QB that took New Orleans to the Superbowl and won. Heck, I watched the game and cheered him on. But I had no idea the life he lived to lead him to that point, nor how significant that moment he raised his son above his head when he won, would turn out to be. The only way I would know was reading this book, and based on that, I urge you to do the same. 3.5/5
