Kingkong Render kingkong_render — This book sis really funny, but is more like a mommy manual so I did not read it all. It is like a funny version of what to expect when your expecting. I will mark as read but only read a few chapters.

Michael Webb michaelwebb — Ugh...from the first page the main character annoyed me. There's no way I'm finishing this one.

Narender Singh narendergfx — This is simply a bodice-ripper. And a really long one at that. Character development was minimal. The one star: it didn't have a predictable happy ending. Save yourself the time & grab a Harlequin romance. I'll bet I skimmed at least 1/2, maybe 2/3, of this book. I do have some interesting new ways to talk about sex without children (or perhaps anyone else) having any idea what I'm talking about... I can't believe I put this book ahead of my other books I schlepped all the way to Hawaii.

Tomas Narbutaitis _omas_arbutaitis — OMG, new George Saunders, ESSAYS. I really can hardly control myself. Look out, Denis Johnson's "Seek," you may have a competitor for my favorite book of essays. Though I still haven't cracked this one open.

Imane Turque imaneturqu1226 — This book is awesome! I could not put it down and flew through it in a few days. This book follows Strike, a round-the-clock New Jersey drug dealer, and Rocco Klein, a burnt out homicide detective that is convinced Strike is the killer in a murder case he is investigating. Spike Lee adapted this into a great movie, though he relocates the story to Brooklyn and spends no time developing Klein's character. The book [as usual] is better. The author gives equal time to the dealers and the cops, painting a vivid and intimate portrait of each. Highly recommended; will keep you in suspense.
