First book to download on my NEW KINDLE:-) enjoying it so far- Teenage level (which I always love. Just finished the book...and I really liked it! Think Princes Diaries with a Troll twist:-) This is the first book of three and as soon as I finished this one I downloaded the next to continue the story. Cute.

i skipped the story on dr, jekyll and mr. hyde. there was this story in this book called the bottled imp and i find it fairly intresting. the bottled imp is really weird at first but then i realized what was going on and i got the idea. the imp grants you anywish, with no price. but if you were to die with it you are going to burn in the flames of hell?

I knew for years that someday I wanted to try out surfing. My problem was usually that I was nowhere near a beach. Last summer, when I booked a trip to visit friends in California, I also took the opportunity to track down a surfing instructor and get a lesson in. Then I hit the bookstore in search of a guide to help me prepare. I picked this book mainly because it was geared specifically for women, but I found it extremely helpful in terms of teaching me exercises to do for strength training, practicing my pop-ups, form, and learning the jargon ahead of time. I'm glad I did it, both because surfing is a very demanding sport and also is definitely its own subculture that you want to get to know so you don't sound like a poseur :)

Once again the Dream Park concept is transformed into an engrossing suspense tale by Niven and Barnes. This time the gamers are on the moon, and we have a political kidnapping/coup. Once the villains seize control of the game about midway through the book I found it difficult to put down. This tale is every bit as good as the original Dream Park.

A weighty fantasy book from a very good writer--it is clear he takes the task up seriously and isn't just marking off another genre to conquer. Life on Clam Island in the Puget Sound is wet, rural, and built around baseball--their field lies in a spot on the island where it never rains, until one afternoon. Ethan Feld has moved here with his dad--maker of dirigibles--after his mother has died of cancer. He doesn't want to play baseball because he is no good at it, but Jennifer T. Rideout--a local girl of Indian descent--won't let him quit. The field never experiences rain because of fairies: ferishers, as they are called here, who are small, baseball-loving creatures who resemble native peoples. Coyote--a more malevolent trouble-maker in this tale who wants to unmake the four worlds--has split the world of Clam Island from the neighboring world (causing the rain) and his minions have killed or captured all the ferishers save for thier chief. Ethan and J.T. are soon off to the other worlds, along with Thor--a boy who thinks he is an android--to stop Coyote and save Ethan's father. A delightful adventure that I liked a lot--and I don't like baseball at all!
