lpride8191a
саша чайкин lpride8191a — This book was fairly predictable and drug out for a lot of pages in the middle. It does have a happy ending and it is engaging enough to have made me want to finish it. I think the author's vision for symbolism was greater than her ability to express.

pwilkinsphotography
Paul Wilkins pwilkinsphotography — A weighty fantasy book from a very good writer--it is clear he takes the task up seriously and isn't just marking off another genre to conquer. Life on Clam Island in the Puget Sound is wet, rural, and built around baseball--their field lies in a spot on the island where it never rains, until one afternoon. Ethan Feld has moved here with his dad--maker of dirigibles--after his mother has died of cancer. He doesn't want to play baseball because he is no good at it, but Jennifer T. Rideout--a local girl of Indian descent--won't let him quit. The field never experiences rain because of fairies: ferishers, as they are called here, who are small, baseball-loving creatures who resemble native peoples. Coyote--a more malevolent trouble-maker in this tale who wants to unmake the four worlds--has split the world of Clam Island from the neighboring world (causing the rain) and his minions have killed or captured all the ferishers save for thier chief. Ethan and J.T. are soon off to the other worlds, along with Thor--a boy who thinks he is an android--to stop Coyote and save Ethan's father. A delightful adventure that I liked a lot--and I don't like baseball at all!

_l_jo_uadrado
Mario Perez _l_jo_uadrado — What damage do lies really do to others and to the one telling it? That is the center question in this fine Miller play. A classic and high school required reading staple, it is a great read and a fabulous show.

rigilk
Esteban Calvi rigilk — I wish there was another shelf for books I'm re-reading to rate, like Inkspell, Harry Potter, etc... anyway! I read this book in, what, 2006? I remembering seeing it in my school's library- I liked orange when I was nine/ten so maybe that's why I picked it up. When I read the blurb I immediately thought 'Hell yes!' It was written by a fourteen year old! That's awesomazing (awesome+amazing- yeah I spoke like that)! And, to be honest, to this day *insert meaningful gaze here* this book is why I decided someday I was going to be an author. Cause, hell, this Romanian-French girl could do it. I sure could. ^That was the nine/ten year old me talking, I'm definitely not that cocky anymore. Anyway, checked out the book, got home, read it. Disliked it. It's funny because even before I could remember the title (had to Google 'three opals novel' and hope for the best) I always remembered the whole 'Death one strike thing'. The phrase haunted me for ages. I don't know why but it did! I remember not liking the book, not even finishing it. Whatever. Retry!
